Why Partner With FIGJAM Film Academy

For Schools

Every FIGJAM cohort creates something extraordinary — a professionally produced short film made by students, featuring their ideas, their voices and their stories, with students credited on IMDb alongside experienced industry professionals.

In a world where content, storytelling and digital communication influence how people connect, learn and engage, schools have a powerful opportunity to create something that extends beyond the classroom — a production that showcases their students, celebrates their community and captures the values that make their school unique.

The film becomes more than an educational project. It becomes a lasting piece of the school's story — something students, families, staff, alumni and the wider community can experience and celebrate for years to come.

What sets FIGJAM apart is the professional standard behind every production. Creating a truly industry-level film requires more than equipment and a script — it requires experienced filmmakers, production knowledge, professional processes and the expertise to guide students through the complete filmmaking journey from concept to final screen.

Students develop the skills schools are committed to building in every learner: leadership, collaboration, communication, creativity, resilience, critical thinking, adaptability and the ability to perform under pressure — capabilities valued across every future pathway.

Each school's film is entirely original, shaped by the stories, perspectives and issues most meaningful to its own community — from friendship and inclusion to identity, compassion, resilience and belonging.

The program is fully turnkey. FIGJAM provides the professional crew, equipment, curriculum, production management, safety framework and post-production expertise. The school provides the students — we provide the complete filmmaking experience.

The journey concludes with a premiere celebration hosted by the school, bringing together students, families, staff, alumni and the wider community to celebrate what students have created.

For Industry Partners

FIGJAM Film Academy provides industry partners with the opportunity to support emerging young storytellers while contributing to the development of future creative leaders.

Through a genuine professional production experience, students develop the creative, technical and interpersonal skills required in today's rapidly evolving world — while partners become connected to a program that values innovation, collaboration and the next generation of talent.

Real World. Real Credit. Real Set.

Curriculum Connections

FIGJAM Film Academy is a supplementary, real-world enrichment program — it is not a credentialed course and does not itself confer formal curriculum credit. Its value sits alongside the classroom, not inside it: while a syllabus teaches the theory, FIGJAM delivers the real thing — a real professional film set, a real industry crew, and a real IMDb credit.
